“Baby alpaca” is the name of the finest grade of alpaca fibre, not the age of the animal — alpacas are shorn once a year, like sheep.

Care

  • Hand wash in cool water and air dry
  • For maximum fluffiness, a low dryer setting for 10 minutes
  • Brush lightly in the direction of the fibre to keep it fresh
  • Iron on low, in the same direction, if needed

Handmade, so no two are identical. Each piece is made by hand in Ecuador. Colours can be a shade lighter or darker than on screen, and the pattern and fringe vary slightly — that is the signature of a real artisan piece, not a flaw.
