Double-Density Weave. Deep Teal. Handmade in Ecuador.
Panzaleo is a queen-size throw blanket hand-woven from 80% baby alpaca and 20% acrylic in deep teal: aqua, blue and subtle grey fibres in a dense brushed weave.
The double-density weave (about 311 GSM) gives it extra volume and warmth, and the fabric softens naturally with use. Use it as a bed blanket, a throw or a sofa cover.
Why you’ll love it
Baby alpaca blend – finer and softer than standard alpaca, with acrylic for structure
Double-density weave – about 311 GSM for extra warmth and volume
Deep teal colour – rich aqua-blue with a subtle heathered texture
Queen size – 94 x 65 in, for the bed or the sofa
Hand-woven in Ecuador – by artisans on traditional looms
Details
Material: 80% baby alpaca / 20% acrylic — the acrylic keeps the piece soft, washable and in shape for years
Color: Deep teal (aqua, blue and subtle grey heather)
“Baby alpaca” is the name of the finest grade of alpaca fibre, not the age of the animal — alpacas are shorn once a year, like sheep.
Warmth
Mid-weight (about 2.7 lb) — warm on the bed in cool weather and easy to use as a sofa throw year-round.
Size & fit
At 94 x 65 in (240 x 165 cm), Panzaleo covers the top of a queen bed and works as a generous sofa throw.
Care
Hand wash cold with a mild detergent (or delicate cycle in a mesh bag)
Do not bleach or tumble dry
Lay flat or hang with support to dry, out of direct sun
Steam or low iron with a cloth if needed
Handmade, so no two are identical. Each piece is woven and dyed by hand in Ecuador. Colours can be a shade lighter or darker than on screen, and the texture varies slightly — that is the signature of a real artisan piece, not a flaw.
