Antisana — named after the glacier-capped volcano east of Quito — carries Andean diamonds and zigzags in brown and cream on a soft grey ground. Earthy, graphic and generously sized, in XL and XL Plus.

Handwoven in Otavalo from a baby alpaca wool blend, it does its decorative job on a bed or sofa and its real job — keeping you warm — equally well. Machine washable on a delicate cycle.

“Baby alpaca” is the name of the finest grade of alpaca fibre, not the age of the animal — alpacas are shorn once a year, like sheep. And it is not a blanket for babies: this is a full-size adult blanket.

Warmth & fit

Mid-weight and generously sized — drapes beautifully over a queen or full bed, or covers two adults on a large sofa. Alpaca keeps you warm in winter without overheating.

Care

  • Hand wash cold with a mild detergent (or delicate cycle in a mesh bag)
  • Do not bleach or tumble dry
  • Lay flat or hang with support to dry, out of direct sun
  • Steam or low iron with a cloth if needed

Handmade, so no two are identical. Each piece is woven and dyed by hand in Otavalo, Ecuador. Colours can be a shade lighter or darker than on screen, and fringe and pattern placement vary slightly — that is the signature of a real artisan piece, not a flaw.
