A cowboy (vaquero) style Panama hat with a large brim, hand-woven in Ecuador from 100% natural toquilla straw, in natural straw colour, fine grade.

Despite the name, Panama hats come from Ecuador. They are plaited from the leaves of the paja toquilla palm and took the name of Panama because that is where they were shipped from in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The crown is about 4.3 in (11 cm) high and the brim about 3.15 in (8 cm) wide.
