Yankuam brings earth and sand tones to your bed or sofa: stripes of grey, beige and cream in a relaxed, natural palette. Available in Queen and Queen Plus.

Woven by hand in Otavalo, Ecuador — the textile capital of the Andes — from a baby alpaca wool blend. Baby alpaca is finer and softer than regular alpaca and naturally lanolin-free. It washes easily and dries fast.

“Baby alpaca” is the name of the finest grade of alpaca fibre, not the age of the animal — alpacas are shorn once a year, like sheep. And it is not a blanket for babies: this is a full-size adult blanket.

Warmth & fit

Lightweight warmth: alpaca insulates far better than its weight suggests, so this blanket is warm on a winter night yet comfortable as a summer throw. Both sizes cover a queen bed as a top layer; Queen Plus is a little longer and heavier.

Care

  • Hand wash cold with a mild detergent (or delicate cycle in a mesh bag)
  • Do not bleach or tumble dry
  • Lay flat or hang with support to dry, out of direct sun
  • Steam or low iron with a cloth if needed

Handmade, so no two are identical. Each piece is woven and dyed by hand in Otavalo, Ecuador. Colours can be a shade lighter or darker than on screen, and fringe and pattern placement vary slightly — that is the signature of a real artisan piece, not a flaw.
