A lot of 45 queen-size alpaca wool blankets — the same hand-woven Otavalo blankets we sell in our retail section, assorted within the palette you choose.

Every blanket is woven in Otavalo, Ecuador from a baby alpaca wool blend, then washed and finished by hand. Lots are packed from current stock: you get at least five different designs, no single colourway more than 20% of the lot (max 9), all full queen size. Farm shops, boutiques, lodges and gift stores have been buying these lots since 2021.

“Baby alpaca” is the name of the finest grade of alpaca fibre, not the age of the animal — alpacas are shorn once a year, like sheep. And these are not blankets for babies: every piece is a full-size adult queen blanket.

Care

• Hand wash cold with a mild detergent (or delicate cycle in a mesh bag)
• Do not bleach or tumble dry
• Lay flat or hang with support to dry, out of direct sun
• Steam or low iron with a cloth if needed

Handmade, so no two are identical. Each blanket is woven and dyed by hand in Otavalo, Ecuador. Colours can be a shade lighter or darker than on screen, and pattern placement varies slightly — that is the signature of a real artisan piece, not a flaw.
